XRay Rolls Out an Updated XB8E Buggy

By: Tim Gluth

If you're serious about R/C racing and want to take your vehicle's performance to the next level, XRay hopes their 2018 XB8E will do just that. Their 1/8-scale electric buggy has seen refinements in chassis design and layout, mechanical components and more.

Among the chassis improvements are small details such as moving the side guards back to reduce contact with the front tires while cornering at high speeds. The chassis tray/base edges have also been massaged in an effort to reduce dirt buildup.

Other chassis updates include new shock towers with multiple mounting points, hardened lower arms (rear), a 2.6mm rear sway bar, among others.

The body has also been refined to provide improved performance at both high speeds and while cornering. In all, this vehicle has received updates from bumper-to-bumper for 2018.
