Return to SeaTac: A Closer Look at a Community R/C Track.

By: Tim Gluth

A while back, I was introduced to an outdoor radio-control racetrack with a unique backstory. Located in SeaTac, WA, the Seattle R/C Racers club has created an off-road R/C experience that features challenging, yet not overly-intimidating track layout, for buggies, truggies, and short course trucks (SCTs).  Scott VanAntwerp of Fast Lap Hobby contacted me late last year with information about this track, how it was envisioned, and how it was becoming a reality.

Since that time, “business has picked up” quite a bit.  Judging by the videos posted by the track’s “official videographer”, tinyeyedpete, you can see there is no shortage of excitement taking place on the turns and jumps of the outdoor facility.. Through a combination of on-the-ground camera angles and quadcopter footage, you can experience the track through a series of videos that captures all of the action this track has to offer.

Learn more about the SeaTac R/C track and, if you’re in the area, stop by and check it out for yourself.
