Hit the Trail for a Great Cause during the 3rd Annual Autism Awareness R/C Crawl
Saturday, August 18 | Frank Rains OHV Park
We all enjoy the R/C hobby for a variety of reasons. Some do it purely for relaxation and others do it as a creative release. Still, there are hobbyists who use the hobby as a vehicle to promote awareness for a cause. Such is the case for the ASD Crawlers RC group and their Autism Awareness R/C Crawl.
As they head into their third annual installment of the AAC event, the 2018 edition appears to be even bigger than in year's past. The third annual Autism Awareness R/C Crawl will take place on Saturday, August 18 at the Frank Raines OHV Park in Patterson, CA.
The event kicks off at 8am and runs until 11pm, making for a day of outdoor fun with family, friends, and fellow hobbyists. Beyond that, this is an opportunity for ASD Crawlers RC to raise awareness for autism and generate donations for the Lynn Center of Contra Costa County ARC, a group working to help children with special needs.
With backing from RC4WD, AMain Hobbies, Axial, Pro-Line, and many others, this year's event should be a great opportunity to get outside, enjoy the hobby, and raise awareness. Admission for the event is $35 at the door ($25 pre-sale) with an additional parking fee of $10 per vehicle. At-the-door payment is cash-only, however, donations are accepted through PayPal.
