Carisma Unveils the GT2 Buggy at MicroX 2016

By: Tim Gluth

At UK MicroX 2016, which took place last weekend (9/24 & 9/25), featured not only great on-track action but also a product reveal from Carisma. Ivan Cheung, who was on-hand for the weekend’s activities, had the floor to himself as he raised the curtain on a new, 1/16-scale, 2-wheel drive buggy, the GT2.

While not many published details are available, this is an exciting new option for smaller-scale R/C racers who are looking for something new. The GT2’s clean, “simple” design provides options for mounting the motor in the middle or rear of the chassis. As for the body, it appears to be a Velcro-attached, one-piece capsule. Beyond that, you can make it your own by swapping out the shocks and providing your own electronics.

It hasn’t been stated if this is a kit or ready-to-run (RTR) vehicle, but I will follow up on this model as additional details are made available. Until then, sit back and enjoy GT2 unveiling video (courtesy of Peter Gray, RCCar.Zone).
