I’ll be the first to admit that one brand of R/C vehicle that I’m not very familiar with is Helion. While they make a number of great-looking vehicles that are priced for the budget-minded hobbyist, I haven’t had an opportunity to get my hands on one of their models myself. That said, their newest model, the Contakt 12TR, appears to be a great machine for those that want a “grab and go” basher.
Featuring a brushed motor, a 2.4GHz radio system with digital trims, two beginner modes (great for a child’s machine), a bottom-load battery tray for easy access, and is LiPo compatible. This vehicle, as with Helion’s other machines, is fairly spartan, but you still get a great all-around truggy for not a lot of cash.

$154.99 $129.99 (as of 12/09/15), this is a nice-looking vehicle at an attractive price. If you’ve been looking for a R/C car for your child, or want to add another vehicle to your fleet (without breaking the bank), this might be one to look into.
Learn more about the My love of automobiles is one of the main reasons I love the R/C hobby. The ability to customize these machines, make them my own, and add details and features to them is part of what makes this a great way to unwind as well as a perfect outlet for creativity. Here is a video review of my rig, along with my list of upgrades (so-far).
