What was the best story in the radio-control hobby for 2014?
By: Tim Gluth
Oh, what a year it's been! We've seen new models introduced, speed and distance records were set and broken, new models were introduced (across all scales and vehicle types), and there were a number of great events held to showcase the greatness of the radio-controlled hobby and the community that makes it run.
What was your favorite, biggest, or best story from this past year? Does the moment you’ve picked have a personal tie-in to it, or is it your favorite “just because”? If you need some help jogging the memory banks from the past year, here’s a small sample of what we witnessed in 2014:
- RCFest 2014
- Light it up Blue for Autism Speaks RC Shootout
- Tim Smith’s 24-hour Iron Man Challenge
- Nic Case breaking the 200mph barrier with his r/c car
- AxialFest 2014
- New vehicle releases, such as: Axial Yeti & Yeti XL, Vaterra's Rallycross, Sting Ray, and Ascender, and Redcat Racing's Everest and Blackout XTE
