Upcoming Release: Carisma's Cooking Up an On-Road Racing Kit [Video]

By: Tim Gluth

I've always admired a well-crafted automobile design. Whether their lines are as smooth and silky or edgy and aggressive, a beautiful car is always something to appreciate. In the same vein, I hold a deep respect for R/C brands that put the same amount of effort and detail into their replica bodies. No matter the brand, a beautiful car will always catch my eye.

Carisma has always managed to create stunning vehicles that manage to grab my eyeballs and hold onto them for as long as possible. The level of scale detail and 1:1 replication which is applied to their on-road (and now off-road) vehicles is hard to rival. Until now.

It appears that the team at Carisma RC is working on a new release, and a slight change in direction, by teasing photos and video of an upcoming kit. Until now, Carisma's M40S 1/10-scale model has been a ready-to-run (RTR) option. While there's nothing wrong with that (coming from a longtime RTR fan), the addition of a kit opens up an entirely new world of possibilities and internal customization.

While no firm release date has been announced (December 2017 has been mentioned within a few posts), a teaser video of the build process has been posted to the Carisma Facebook page.

If on-road, DTM racing is your jam, be sure to stay glued to Carisma's social media channels for additional information.
