The TR-MT10E from Team Redcat
Hot on the heels of the Team Magic E5 announcement, Redcat Racing has a new, 1/10-scale monster truck that will be making an official appearance later this year (August 2016). Under their higher-end banner of “Team Redcat”, the TR-MT10E looks tough, with eye-catching graphics and aggressive visual elements that such as the wheels, tires, and bumper. Under the body, this truck doesn’t look any less intimidating.
The timing of this vehicle announcement, coupled with the “shared DNA” that is appears to have with the Team Magic E5 makes me think that both of these new monster trucks are one in the same. Having said that, if you’re a fan of the Redcat Racing name, here is a fun option for you to enjoy the hobby with.
Powered by a brushless motor, the TR-MT10E is a 4-wheel drive, ready-to-run (RTR) R/C truck that includes a list of features that can now be considered “standard” in the world of radio-control. Waterproof electronics, 2.4GHz radio system, and an electronic speed control (ESC) capable of handling LiPo battery power (2S and 3S), this truck is built for trips to your local park and backyard bashing. As an added bonus, LED lights are also included in the front bumper.
Additional components in this RTR package includes a Savox servo and Hobbywing 80 MAX10 ESC, helping to ensure a long lifetime of driving. To complete your package, you’ll need to supply a battery (for the truck) and a charger.
