The Traxxas TRX-4 Lineup Branches Out with the 1979 Chevy K5 Blazer
After witnessing the level of scale detail that Traxxas brought to the table with their TRX-4 Ford Bronco, fans of Chevrolet will be happy to see that same focus applied to a classic "bowtie" rig. The TRX-4 Blazer is the latest addition to the TRX-4 lineup and serves as a beautiful 1/10-scale replica of Chevy's popular off-road machine.
Built upon the same platform as the aforementioned Bronco, the 1979 K5 Blazer combines high-end features with a true-to-life body shell. If you're looking for a premium scale R/C experience, then this rig should have you covered.
Highlights such as a two-speed transmission, remote locking differentials, and cruise control mark a few of the electronic benefits of this model. Also carried over from other "premium-level" TRX-4 models are the molded floor pans and inner fenders, helping to keep dirt and debris from cluttering up the inside of your rig.
The biggest differentiator between this TRX-4 model is the body. Faithfully replicating the 1:1 Chevrolet K5 Blazer, the body blends a durable polycarbonate shell with molded body accents such as chromed front and rear bumpers, a chromed grille, door handles, side-view mirrors, and windshield wipers. Fans of completely customized rigs will also appreciate the tinted windows, which allow onlookers to see inside the body shell.
Two color configurations are available for this model (red/black and orange/white) with each maintaining this rig's real-world appearance. Rounding out this model are chromed-plastic wheels and Traxxas 1.9" Canyon Trail tires.
Priced at $499.99, the Traxxas TRX-4 K5 Blazer is available online and through your local Traxxas dealer. Visit traxxas.com for additional details on this scale R/C rig.
