Team Losi Racing 8ight-X Nitro Buggy Kit

By: Tim Gluth

Team Losi Racing has announced the release of their latest 1/8-scale nitro buggy, the 8ight-X. The latest iteration of their 8ight platform, the "X" features a number of revisions focused on handling performance and durability.

Overall chassis width has been increased to provide greater stability, while the suspension arms have been tweaked to allow the use of stiffener plates. These add-on components provide the ability to adjust the suspension flex for greater handling performance.

The 8ight-X also sports revised suspension geometry including updated trailing spindles, a wider front pivot, narrower rear pivot, and longer rear shocks.

Other performance-minded improvements include the use of bleeder shock caps, adjustable castor blocks, a redesigned steering rack, and revised weight balance distribution.

As with most R/C kits, you'll need to provide a few items to complete the build and get rolling. Since this is a nitro-based model, some of the required items include; a radio system, battery pack (for the transmitter), a racing engine, fuel, 1/8-scale off-road tires, a steering servo, and fuel.
