Tamiya Land Rover Defender D90 CC01

A mainstay in the R/C hobby, Tamiya has developed a wide array of models throughout the years. While some of these vehicles have been concepts of their own design, others have been faithful representations of 1:1 vehicles. Later this year, another scale machine will find its way into their massive lineup.

The Land Rover Defender D90 (#58657) kit may look like other 1/10-scale D90 rigs that have hit the market in recent years, however, it looks like Tamiya is putting their own spin on their version by mating it to their well-traveled CC01 platform.

With a highly-detailed body, the Tamiya Land Rover Defender D90 features toned-down wheels, tires, and other body accessories. Although this model is listed as 1/10-scale, the Tamiya CC01 chassis runs a bit smaller and shorter than other similarly-scaled vehicles. Still, this appears to be a very attractive representation of this classic off-roader.

Since this is a kit, builders will need to provide their own radio system (transmitter and receiver), batteries (for the car and radio transmitter), paint, and tools.
