Horizon Hobby has released three new battery and charger packages, aimed at getting new hobbyists up to speed quickly and without much hassle. Their new Dynamite Powerstage bundles take some of the guesswork out of pairing a new R/C model with a power source.
Dynamite Powerstage Bundle 1 - $49.99
Starting with the basics, their Stage 1 bundle provides standard power and charging capabilities, courtesy of a Dynamite Prophet Sport Mini charger and a Dynamite Speedpack 8.4V 3300 NiMh 7-cell battery pack.
Dynamite Powerstage Bundle 2 - $69.99
Stepping up the power a bit, the Stage 2 bundle features the same charger but raises the battery to a 7.4V, 2S, 5000mah LiPo pack. Not a bad combination for the price.
Dynamite Powerstage Bundle 3 - $84.99
The final rung of the Powerstage ladder is Stage 3. Again, the Dynamite Prophet Sport Mini charger makes an appearance, but the battery pack has been upgraded to a 3S, 11.1V, 5000mah LiPo pack. At under $100, this looks like a very solid setup for newer hobbyists.
