The new Spartan SR speedboat from Traxxas looks like a terrific summertime boredom buster. Whether you're an avid R/C mariner or are interested in taking to the open water, this brushless-powered boat should be worth checking out.

Featuring several enhancements over the previous Spartan model, the Spartan SR includes a clipless latch system, beefier propeller shafts, a redesigned electronics and battery tray layout, and a remote self-righting feature.
