For my money, it's hard to beat the classic style of a Scout. As a fan of the Redcat Gen8 International Scout II, it should come as no surprise that I'm equally a fan of its predecessor, the Gen9 International Scout 800A. With its open-top body, detailed interior, and feature-packed chassis, this trail truck is one of my go-to rigs when I want to hit the trail for some R/C action.

Thanks to the folks at Redcat, I was able to get an in-depth look at this next-generation 1/10-scale trail machine ahead of its release earlier this year. Here are some of the many images captured during my shakedown of the Gen9:
