R/C Pilot, Dave Lockhart Flies with Futaba
After announcing a number of new, FPV-focused pilots to their team, Futaba has announced the addition of veteran R/C pilot, Dave Lockhart to their team. With 40 years of experience under his belt, Dave has competed in hundreds of competitions and boasts an equally-impressive finishing record.

Over the past forty years, Dave said he “competed in approximately 260 contests averaging 7 pattern and 3 ‘other’ per year, including 24 National level contests.” And his placing records from those contests is equally impressive: “167 1st, 40 2nd, and 23 3rd place finishes,” according to Dave.
His passion for precision flying competitions has taken him all over the country and, really, across most of the globe. He’s active in more clubs, associations, and organizations than we can possibly list, participating in “competitions, festivals, air shows, instruction of beginners, presentations, club and community events, online forums, and discussion groups.”
Lockhart is bringing his experience and winning record under the Futaba banner because, he says, “I am proud to be part of a team that uniquely serves the needs of competition flyers and everyday modelers alike.”
