Prepare for Adventure with the FMS FCX10 Toyota Land Cruiser 80 RS
FMS is preparing to release the second model in its FCX10 lineup very soon, and from the looks of it, it should be a real winner. The FCX10 Toyota Land Cruiser 80 is a 1/10-scale, adventure-ready trail rig that is decked out in scale detail with plenty of performance packed under the hood.
Using the same chassis found on the FCX10 Chevy K5 Blazer, the FCX10 Toyota LC80 has a true overland appearance. Featuring several scale details ranging from a roof rack, roof-mounted lights, a snorkel, side mirrors, and beefy front and rear bumpers, this rig looks like it's ready to tackle anything the trail might throw at it.
While I expect much of the chassis layout to remain the same, it appears that the body mounting system might be slightly different from the original FCX10 K5 Blazer. Time will tell if that's the case, but it's nice to see some potential improvements made on this upcoming model.
Another change is the use of straight axles vs the portal axles found on the FCX10 K5 Blazer. To reduce complexity, the FCX10 LC80 also features full-time locked differentials rather than offering a remote locking and unlocking set.
