Hi guys Matthew here from UK Scale and Crawler. In this post I will be reviewing the parts I got in my most recent Asiatees.com order, the parts consisted of.
- MIP Drive shafts
- 80 amp leopard waterproof esc
- 1350kv leopard brushless motor
Today' well focus on the MIP Drive Shafts. As some people may know MIP are the market leaders in drive shafts and I was amazed to see Asiatees where stocking them so I had to click the buy button.
Once they arrived I was amazed at the quality of the shafts they are all carbon steel and they are a spline design and very very very strong.
When I opened the package with them in I found there where 4 shafts 2 male and 2 female 4 universal joints 1 of which was longer than the other 3 as it was the honcho kit for a 12.3” wheelbase, I also found 4 universal joint pins and set screws and 4 axle set screw the kit even came with grease and lock tight (thread lock) so they come as a complete kit ready to fit.
Upon fitting the shafts I found the to be a perfect fit with very little play between the splines on the shaft and the fitted perfect up to the bearings on the gearbox and axles thus reducing play in the bearings.
I have had my Axial SCX10 out for a run since fitting these shafts and I have noticed that there isn’t any binding issues at all the isn’t any drive shaft judder there super strong to put it simply there just the best.
I can truly 110% recommend these shafts and you will not be disappointed if you check this link out you can see the build video I produced:
Here is a direct link to the shafts at asiatees.com check them out for yourself.
I will be posting the review on the brushless setup tomorrow so keep your eyes out for that see you all on the next one, thanks!
