Make Waves with the Pro Boat Veles 29" Catamaran

By: Tim Gluth

Although I’ve driven and piloted a variety of radio-controlled vehicles in my hobby “career”, there is one type of vehicle which I haven’t gotten behind the controller of. Boats. With summer in full-swing, a R/C boat is a great way to enjoy the water and warm weather.

Pro Boat has introduced a new 29” catamaran named the Veles 29. This ready-to-run (RTR) model is powered by a brushless motor (2000kv) and features a Spektrum DX2E 2.4GHz transmitter and receiver for long-range, constant control. Waterproof/water-resistant electronics are a given, so you can run wide-open with (almost) reckless abandon.

Helping this watercraft move across the water is a sleek fiberglass hull, which features a eye-catching lime green base with silver and white trim. A stainless steel propeller serves as the driving force (powered by that brushless motor mentioned earlier) and should be durable enough to withstand slight impacts.
