Live the Retro Off-road Lifestyle with Axial’s SCX10 III Early Ford Bronco RTR

By: Tim Gluth

Axial has kicked off its 2021 installment of Axialfest with a new model release; the SCX10 III Early Ford Bronco. This R/C rig features a vintage Ford Bronco body, plenty of visual details, and the incredibly capable SCX10 III chassis. All of these elements should combine for a fun adventure whether you're taking on challenging rocks or a tricky trail.

Built on the SCX10 III chassis, this version of Axial's popular trail and crawling machine differs from its siblings by offering straight axles vs. the portal design found on the SCX10 III Jeep JLU and Jeep Gladiator. Other components such as the dig function and optional two-speed transmission have found their way onto this model, along with many chassis-focused fit and finish elements.

The Ford Bronco body that's included with this ready-to-run (RTR) model appears to be highly detailed and includes assets such as opening tube-frame doors, an open-air roll cage, a full-size spare tire, and a detailed driver and passenger compartment. Another item that sets this rig apart from other SCX10 III models is the retro-styled 1.9" beadlock wheels paired with replica Falken Wildpeak M/T tires.

The SCX10 III Early Ford Bronco features two body color options (teal and white) and both include installed LED lights for the headlights, front marker lights, and taillights.

On the electronics side, the Axial SCX10 III Early Ford Bronco is powered by a 35T Dynamite brushed 540-size motor and features a Spektrum Firma Smart 40A ESC/receiver, a Spektrum 15kg metal gear steering servo, a Spektrum analog micro servo (for the Dig function), and a 2.4ghz Spektrum DX3 transmitter.
