Let's hear it: What projects are you working on over the Winter months?

By: Tim Gluth

Winter and R/C cars generally don't mix too well (unless you've got a waterproof electronics setup and patience to unpack snow from your machine or live in a nice, warm climate). With a few months of cold, snowy weather ahead of us, at least in some parts f the world, I want to see what you have in mind for your winter R/C projects and modifications.

Here are a few of the items I have planned for my vehicles:

  • Adding a JConcepts over tray to my Traxxas Slash 4x4 (affiliate link) so I can have more confidence when running it in the snow.
  • Working on an "annoying outdoor mod" for the Slash. More on that to follow.
  • Making some tweaks to a few items on the ECX Smash (affiliate link), namely the body pins, excess antennae, and body enhancements.

Aside from those items, I have a few ideas in mind for RCNewb.com, beginning with updating our Body Design Template and adding more templates for other types of R/C vehicles. Next on that list is getting together (virtually) with Josh to record a few episodes of the RC Newb Podcast.

What do you have up your sleeve? Feel free to share your projects in the comments!
