King Kraton: ARRMA Updates Their Bashing Beast for 2019
ARRMA has rolled out their yearly refresh of a number of tried-and-true bashers, including their Kraton 6S BLX monster truck. This 1/8-scale, ready-to-run (RTR) model has received a few tweaks over the years, but the overall changes haven't been major. This year's revision brings more than just a new paint job and body tweaks.
Under the hood, the Kraton has received an electronics overhaul, replacing the previous Tactic radio system with a Spektrum STX2 transmitter and SRX200 receiver.
In addition to these updated radio components, the Kraton 6S BLX also features a number of chassis updates to help improve durability and overall ease of access when performing maintenance or upgrades.
An aluminum center brace helps keep the chassis rigid and will help absorb impact energy while smaller items such as "never-pop" ball ends, and a "never loose" aluminum servo saver take away some of the worry while you push this truck to the ragged edge.
A sliding motor mount allows for easy motor maintenance and upgrades, and ultra-quick gear meshing. The center diff is also easily reachable thanks to the pull apart design of the chassis.
With all of these internal adjustments, the outside of the Kraton also received an update, with two new body colors (red and blue) and an updated front fascia and grille design to match the attitude of this mean machine.
Priced at $549.99, the 2019 ARRMA Kraton 6S BLX monster truck is available online and through your favorite ARRMA dealer. Visit arrma-rc.com to learn more about this R/C monster truck.
