Horizon Hobby Launches the "I Support My Local Hobby Shop" Fundraiser
The COVID-19 outbreak has thrown numerous challenges at us all. From individuals to businesses, changes have been made in how we live, work and shop. This includes fueling our passion for the R/C hobby as well.
Many hobby shops are operating with reduced staff and have had to come up with new ways to provide hobbyists with the models and gear that they crave. I know a few of my local shops have started curbside pickup and true "window shopping" for a variety of their products. Truly unique times to say the least.
To help ease the burden felt by their dealers, Horizon Hobby has launched the "I Support My Local Hobby Shop" fundraiser. Between now and June 1, you can purchase apparel, decals, or make a donation to benefit the cause. All net proceeds will be given to Horizon Hobby Certified Partner Hobby Shops.
In addition to selling merchandise and accepting direct donations, hobbyists have an opportunity to bid on four unique radio-controlled auction items from brands such as Axial, Losi, and ARRMA.
