Hitec's QuadRacer 280 FPV Multi-rotor Aircraft
Hitec, known for their servos, multi-rotor motors, and battery chargers, has been spreading their wings into the world of multi-rotor FPV aircraft. One of their recent releases is a ready-to-fly (RTF) race quad, the QuadRacer 280 (QR280). Sized at 280mm, this is a feature-packed aircraft that will get pilots of any level up in the air quickly.
Power for this craft comes from four, 2300KV brushless motors which are powered by a 2000mAh 3S LiPo battery. A built-in camera provides a 135-degree field-of-view that is fed back to your choice of FPV goggles (not included). If you don’t have a set of goggles, you can see what the QuadRacer 280 sees through the included 4.3-inch LCD monitor.
A bird’s eye view that’s packed with power needs to have some level of control, which in this case comes from a 6-channel 2.4GHz transmitter and receiver.
With all of these on-board goodies, you may think this craft would be bogged down, however, it weighs 14.29oz without the battery and 20.04oz with the pack installed. With the stock battery pack, you can expect to get up to 12 minutes of flight time.
