Hitec's Vektor 280 FPV Racing Quadcopter
If your dreams of flight include a sprightly and nimble aircraft that can give you a bird’s-eye view of in-air action, the new Hitec Vektor 280 FPV multi-rotor drone might be the perfect fit. The second 280-sized quadcopter in their growing lineup of multi-rotor aircraft (following the QuadRacer 280), Hitec has created another sleek and lightweight craft that is suited for high-performance racing action.
Arriving fully-assembled, this race quad is elevated into the sky by four 2150KV brushless motors and 6-by-3-inch propellers. The airframe itself is built from carbon fiber and features 3mm motor/rotor arms. Although this craft isn’t a ready-to-fly (RTF) outfit, the Vektor 280 does include a number of features that help lower the barrier of entry in quadcopter racing.
On the electronics side, four 20-Amp speed controls, an OpenPilot CC3D flight controller, LED system, and 5.8GHz 600mw video transmitter are included. The only components that you’ll need to supply are a 5-channel transmitter, 5.8GHz receiver, LiPo battery (3-4S) and FPV video goggles (optional). With a total weight of 12.48oz (without battery), this is a lightweight aircraft that is well-suited for a variety of race course layouts.
Hitec hasn't list the price for this FPV quadcopter on their site, however, you can learn more about it and view the product manual at hitecrcd.com.
