Help Kickstart Something Smart

I received a tweet earlier this week that introduced me to a unique kick starter project that is in the vein of the R/C hobby, but not entirely in the traditional sense that we've come to expect.

We've become accustomed to dealing with plastic, metal, and other materials with our R/C vehicle builds and while I've seen some wood integrated into a rig as an accent, I have rarely seen it used as the entire frame of the machine.  The SmartWood (@SmartWoodModels) product/project has a unique and admirable goal to get people, young and old alike, building, tinkering, and thinking. 

By combining a "punch and assemble" construction set with some of the latest smartphone-control technology (arduino), the team at SmartWood has a fun product on their hands, provided they can reach their Kickstarter goal
