Gold Rush: Kyosho Turbo Optima 4WD Gold Kit
Everything old becomes new again. Since I missed out on many of the classic R/C models of the 80s and 90s, reproduction models are a great way to capture that old-school joy with a bit of a new-school spin. As part of their "vintage series", Kyosho is re-releasing their popular Turbo Optima buggy kit with a handful of modern updates.
The Turbo Optima Gold Kit allows you to build a 1/10-scale buggy and finish it off with a selection of gold anodized chassis and suspension components. Along with these glittering gold bits, the Turbo Optima Gold Kit features threaded, larger capacity shocks, front and rear swaybars/stabilizers, block pattern tires, and a number of driver-adjustable elements.
Despite these updates, the original body design of the 1986 Turbo Optima has been carried over to this modern-day kit.
To complete the build, you'll need to supply a steering servo, 540-size motor, batteries and battery charger, paint, and radio system (transmitter and receiver).
