Fuel Your Need For Summertime Speed at Thumb RC
With summer just starting, you might already have a full list of events and activities planned for your 1/10 or larger-scale radio-controlled machines. But what about your smaller-scale racers? If you're within driving distance of the state of Michigan, why not try your hand at small-scale R/C racing? Thumb RC in Gagetown, MI has released their track schedule and it features an array of activity to keep your competitive juices flowing.
Calling all offroad RC racers in Michigan. Thumb RC will be kicking into high gear over the next two weeks. The track will remain open until Thursday, June 23rd. On Friday, the 24th the track will be getting prepped for the first Thumb RC Summer Series Race of the season. Practice opens on Friday, June 24th from 7 PM through midnight. On June 25th, practice resumes at sunrise. Racing begins at 10 AM.
Awards to the top five in each class. You must race three of four races to be eligible for a year in award in addition to our normal race awards. We will be doing a free raffle for all of the drivers. Everyone will take a prize of some sort home. $15 for your first class and $5 for each additional. This is the cheapest trophy race in the Midwest! Kids in the novice class race for free (transponder needed). Come join a great bunch of guys and have some fun. The track can take a lot of rain. We will be racing rain or shine. The track gets tore up pretty good. Bring your pin tires or mx style tires for loamy dirt. Thumb RC has classes for 1/16 through 1/8 electric offroad rc cars.
