First-hand Look: 2014 ECX BeatBox and KickFlip

By: Tim Gluth

I've discovered another surprise in this hobby. Size doesn't impact the level of fun you can have with a R/C car. In fact, I might argue that you can have more fun the smaller you go (depending on the situation, of course). In between modding my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon RTR and my oldest son's #Frankencrawler, I have been having a blast driving the two newest 1/36-scale vehicles from ECX, the KickFlip and the BeatBox.

The BeatBox is the newest machine in my garage, having picked it up a few days ago. The KickFlip has had a few weeks of run time in my basement and in a hotel room during a weekend getaway. If you're looking for a last-minute (ok, you have a little time left) gift for Christmas, or if you just want to pick up a little vehicle to rip around with yourself, you may want to check out my unboxing videos and review of these two.
