Family Time
I’ve been able to share the thrill of the R/C hobby with two of my three children, as they’re older and have a better understanding of the cars and how it can move with the controller. This past weekend, I was able to spend some quality time with my youngest son and show him the joy of the hobby.
While he hasn’t mastered the control of his vehicle yet, we had a great time racing our cars around the driveway, playing bumper-tag, and sending Daddy down the street a few times to chase his machine. I was thrilled to be able to have some time to drive my own car, but the greater thrill for me came from his reaction to watching the cars zip around. He managed to have me laughing out loud on a few occasions after he’d do some crazy, unintended maneuver with his car. Time well spent, I’d say.
