Explore the "Great Indoors" with the RISE Vusion HouseRacer
RISE Vusion HouseRacer Indoor R/C Drone
While nothing can compete with the feeling of flying an R/C aircraft outdoors, sometimes you’re forced to fly in spaces that aren’t so “wide open”. Because of that, there are a growing number of micro and nano quadcopters available kickstart your exploration. RISE has introduced a new, 120mm R/C drone that’s built with indoor flying in mind.
The RISE Vusion House Racer Drone is an FPV-ready model that includes just about everything needed for indoor, first-person-view flight. The compact 120mm (diagonal) length allow this quadcopter to get around and through many nooks and crannies without encountering too much trouble. To help minimize damage to both the rotor blades and furniture, wall/blade guards are included to help you protect your investment(s).
An FPV camera, which produces a 640 x 480p VGA feed, is built into the Vusion HouseRacer. A 25mW 40-channel, 5-band 5.8GHz Raceband video transmitter is also standard equipment on this model, providing a solid foundation for first-person R/C flight.
Rounding out the included components of this quadcopter are a 3.7V 1S LiPo battery, USB charger, and spare blades. Before you take off, however, there are some components that are required to make the Vusion HouseRacer flight-ready.
- A 5-channel SLT radio (transmitter)
- A 5.8GHz video monitor or goggles (for the FPV video feed)
With a base price of $79.99, the Vusion HouseRacer Drone appears to be a solid starting point for the first-time pilot or hobbyist that is looking to step-up their indoor flight game. RISE also offers a complete package that includes everything required for flight, including a 6-channel transmitter, FPV googles and monitor. This option, the Vusion HouseRacer Indoor FPV Race Pack, is priced at $179.99.
