Cross RC FR4 4x4 Crawler Kit Series

Cross RC has introduced the FR4 lineup of scale trail models to their expanding fleet of 1/10-scale kits. With three trim levels to choose from, the FR4 offers a new experience for those who want to build their next R/C trail rig.

The FR4A base model provides a 35T brushed motor, clear polycarbonate body, plastic wheels, single stage foam tire inserts, 1.9" Black Rock tires, and an array of body accessories and details (roof rack and roll cage). While the axle housing is made from plastic, the gears are stainless steel, cast-metal. As an entry-level option, this appears to be a well-rounded kit. The price tag on the FR4A is $269.99.

The second tier ups the ante with an aluminum transmission case, stamped metal wheels, dual-stage tire foams, and CVD axle shafts. The price for the FR4B is $349.99.

For hobbyists who are looking for a premium trail driving experience, the FR4C offers more aluminum and metal components, including aluminum axle housings and machined aluminum wheels. A chrome, ABS plastic front grill finishes off the visual treatment of this kit, which is priced at $449.99.

To complete the build of each of these models, you'll need to supply your own ESC, steering servo, radio system (controller and transmitter), paint, batteries, and battery charger.
