Coming Soon: A Traxxas TRX-4 Sport Assembly Kit
Believe it or not, kits are making a comeback. In the age of ready-to-run (RTR) dominance, more and more kit options are popping up from some of the big-name brands within the hobby. While Traxxas is no stranger to kits, they appear to be adding a new kit option to their TRX-4 line with an Assembly Kit version of the TRX-4 Sport.
While official details have yet to be released, the upcoming TRX-4 Sport Assembly Kit (#TRA82010-4) appears to include a clear, pre-cut Sport body, the TRX-4 Sport Expedition Rack (w/ accessories), body accessories, front and rear LED light assembly, and the basic TRX-4 chassis.
Items required to complete the build include polycarbonate paint, a 2.4GHz radio system, a 550-size motor, battery, and charger. It remains to be seen whether or not the chassis will be pre-assembled or will need to be built from the ground up.
The price tag for this kit appears to be $279.99, which isn't a bad price given what's included. While traxxas.com doesn't have specifications for this model, you can find out more at the following online hobby shops:
