Build it & Bash it; The Traxxas Slash is Now Available as a Kit
If I've learned anything from my time in this hobby, it's that building a kit is a "must". While ready-to-run (RTR) models are great for getting up and running quickly, you really get an appreciation and understanding for your radio-controlled machine works after assembling it from the ground up.
Thankfully, there are plenty of brands that feel the same way, including Traxxas, who has released an Assembly Kit version of their 2WD Slash Short Course Truck. Packed with all of the parts and pieces you'll need to build your own SCT, the Slash Assembly Kit offers hobbyists a chance to build an addicting and fun R/C truck.
Powered by a Titan 12-T brushed motor (550-size), waterproof electronics (ESC, sealed radio receiver and steering servo), a TQ 2.4GHz radio system, licensed BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A short course truck tires, and a pre-cut Slash body, this kit will get you up and running while teaching you quite a bit about the vehicle that you're building.
The only items that you'll need to complete the kit assembly are batteries, paint, and tools to complete the job.
Priced at $219.99, the Traxxas Slash Assembly Kit is only available through Traxxas dealers. In a time when our hobby shops could use some extra support, this is a commendable plan by the folks at Traxxas.
