Brace Yourself for a Second Wave of Carisma Scale Adventure Upgrades

By: Tim Gluth

The Carisma Scale Adventure SCA-1E has proven itself to be a capable machine, straight out of the box. That said, there is always room for improvement with any R/C vehicle, and following up on their recent release of aluminum/alloy upgrades, Carisma will soon be offering up an assortment of chassis and performance upgrades which focus on crawling performance.

Forward-mount Battery Relocation Tray

  • Designed to move the battery weight over the front axle, this upgrade component will improve forward grip when climbing steep and rough terrain.

Reinforced Shock Hoops

  • Based on feedback about their stock shock mounting hoops, these new hoops are more rigid and won't cause as much chassis flex while navigating the trail.

Rebuildable 35T Brushed Motor

  • For those who want more control over their powerplant, this rebuildable, 35-turn, brushed motor will provide the ability to repair and tune in preparation for your next adventure.

Carisma ARC-1 ESC

  • Designed to handle a 2S LiPo battery (Maximum) this is an in-house design from Carisma which will soon find its way into their ready-to-run SCA-1E models.

My recent guest on the RC Newb Podcast, J. Scott Curlin (AceofAxe RC) will be reviewing these upgrade parts and has released an overview video which covers the upgrades.

Pricing details have yet to be released for these upgrades, however, details should soon be available on carisma-shop.com.
