Bash Bigger with Redcat's Machete 4S & 6S 1/6 Monster Trucks
Redcat's year of new reveals rolls on with not one but two 1/6-scale brushless monster trucks. These new models appear to replace the 1/6-scale Shredder, and the Machete 4S and the Machete 6S appear poised to take up the mantle.
With slightly different motors, these new models share quite a bit of DNA. For durability, each Machete model uses a 4mm 7075 aluminum chassis plate combined with beefy hardware and suspension for improved impact resistance. The Machetes feature a three-diff drivetrain with a splined driveshaft. Other drivetrain durability elements include heavy-duty CVA axles, aluminum wheel hex hubs, and heavy-duty suspension.
The Machete body's exterior features a low-profile design that includes strategically-placed body armor and tethered body clips. Redcat also added a "big-air" win and wheelie bar to make this machine easier to handle when letting it run wild.
