A Smaller Monster, Coming Soon From Redcat Racing
Fun. It’s the name of the game and in this hobby, it comes in all shapes and sizes. In some cases, smaller vehicles can give way to more fun, but that’s not to say that the large machines aren’t worth their weight either. This July, Redcat Racing is introducing a slimmer, more svelte (well, as svelte as you can get), 1/10 scale version of their popular Terremoto Monster Truck (affiliate).
Currently the Terremoto is rocking a 1/8 scale figure, is powered by a 2260KV brushless motor, a waterproof ESC, a 2.4GHz radio, and is equipped with 4-wheel drive. It’s newer, smaller brother/cousin, Terremoto-10, looks to be just as capable with a great list of specs.
Specifications
- Motor - 3300KV brushless
- ESC - Waterproof 60A 2s-3s LiPo-ready
- Battery (included) - 7.4V 3200mAh 20c LiPo (and charger)
- Radio - 2.4GHz
- Body style - Truck & SUV
This new model is priced at $299.99 (redcatracing.com) and is expected to be available for sale in July. As bashing vehicles go, Redcat Racing seems to know the sweet-spot when it comes to budget-minded pricing. Their vehicles are built to take a bit of punishment and are well worth the price when you consider what you're getting for your money.
