A Platform for Power: HPI's RS4 Sport 3 Creator Edition

When it comes to creating a one-of-a-kind R/C machine, you typically need to start with a kit or full-bodied ready-to-run (RTR) model. That's all changed (for on-road fans, at least), with the introduction of the HPI RS4 Sport 3 Creator Edition.

While the box art might indicate otherwise, you may be surprised to find out that this model isn't a kit, at least in the traditional sense. What you get with the RS4 Sport 3 CE is a pre-built chassis that's ready to tear up the road...as soon as you add your own electronics, wheels, tires and body.

The RS4 Sport 3 RTR model has become a popular option, and I can see this gainin similar popularity among hobbyists. Given its "blank slate" status, you can create just about any on-road R/C creation you'd like, simply by using your imagination (as well as some painting skills).
