A New, Rockin' Rallycross Car from Vaterra RC
Shortly after dazzling us with their newly-released 1969 Custom Corvette RTR, the folks at Vaterra RC have shown off another new vehicle. Taking things off-road this time, they have announced a 1/10-scale Ford Fiesta Rallycross replica that's sure to excite more than a few people.
With their past few on-road machines being based off of and sharing variants of their V100 chassis, this new rally ride is based off of the Halix monster truck that Vaterra released last year. It features a few nice perks such as waterproof electronics, a brushless motor, 4-wheel drive drivetrain, and some of the "scale" finishing touches that we've come to expect with this lineup of vehicles.
With Rallycross enjoying great popularity as a 1:1 sport and a slew of new(er) rally-themed vehicles being introduced into the hobby space over the past year and a half, I'm expecting this to be a popular model when it hits hobby shop shelves. Expected price should be between $469.99 and $529.99 and it will be released in July, 2014.
