A New Explorer: Traxxas Revamps the Summit 1/16
When you're on a roll, there's no stopping you. That appears to be the mindset that Traxxas has with their avalanche of new and refreshed model releases. After giving 1/10-scale fans a number of models to lust after, they've turned their attention to the smaller-scale crowd with a new-look Summit 1/16 R/C monster truck.
The easiest-to-spot update is the graphics package, which features a multi-colored scheme that's easy to spot anywhere you're driving. The exoskeleton cage is still a major visual element on this truck and it comes equipped with LED lights on the front bumper and top rollbar.
Under the hood, this truck remains relatively untouched from the original. A 12-turn brushed Titan motor provides the power while a NiMh pack (with Traxxas iD plugs) provides the juice. If you want more power, you can toss in a second battery pack and link it to a Traxxas wiring harness (sold separately).
