One Cool Project: Willem Smith302's 3D-Printable 1/7 Sno-Trac R/C Snow Cat
Here's a fun project for any 3D printer-owning R/C fanatic who has an abundance of time (and snow) on their hands. After cruising around YouMagine for new winter project ideas, I came across a very cool tracked model that's perfect for wintery weather.
Willem Smith302's downloadable, 3D-printable 1/7-scale Sno-Trac RC Snow Cat is an incredibly faithful replica of the 1:1 Snow Cat (at a price that's considerably lower than the full-size machine).
This multi-part model features a 3D-printable body, tracks, a light bar, working suspension roadwheels, and more. Additional parts and materials are required to complete the build, and are estimated to cost between $250 and $350 (in addition to the cost of the 3D printer files), so you'll want to take that into consideration before launching into this project.

Based on the images alone, this looks like an incredibly fun and unique project that should offer plenty of enjoyment when fully built.
Along with the files, Willem has posted a complete parts list and instruction packet to help anyone interested in this model complete their build with ease.
The 1/7 Sno-Trac R/C Snow Cat 3D-Printable Kit is priced at $49.99 and is available at youmagine.com.
