Traxxas Stability Management Will Keep Your Ride as Straight as an Arrow

By: Tim Gluth

The topic of stability control in R/C cars is one that’s been hotly debated and one that will continue to be debated for a long time to come. Club racers will scoff at it (and I don’t blame them) and hobby purists may not embrace the thought of a self-correcting stability system, but for those that are into running hard and running for fun, getting a little bit of a boost (or a calming hand) while your machine is getting out of control may be a welcome assist.

Traxxas has just announced their own take on stability control with their Traxxas Stability Management system. Utilizing a new receiver combined with TQi transmitters that feature a Multi Function knob, the stability control unit can provide more “assistance” or less depending on the amount that is dialed into the transmitter. Not only does this assist with the vehicle tracking straight, it will let the driver run their machine harder, brake harder, and just push the limits as far as they can. If you want to see this system in action, check out the following video:

This system is available in the Slash VXL with On-Board Audio (#58076-21) and the Slash 4x4 with On-Board Audio (#68086-21).
