If you’ve had your eye on the competitive end of the R/C hobby, there have been a number of new vehicle announcements to keep that interest alive. Schumacher, a UK-based brand With a focus on radio-controlled car racing, has announced a new, 1/10-scale, two-wheel drive buggy kit in the Cougar KC.
The Cougar KC, Which looks like your typical competition buggy on the outside, is filled with adjustable features underneath the body. From variable motor and battery positioning to a three-gear transmission, to “basics” such as a lightweight aluminum chassis and chassis components, this new racer has a number of ways to tune and tweak the performance and handling to fit your driving style.
A few highlights from the above video, the Cougar KC is designed for carpet or astroturf, off-road tracks. Since it’s an indoor-focused machine, it uses a belt-drive rather than a shaft or direct drive system.
As a kit, there are some additional items that are required to complete the build of the Cougar KC:
- 2 Channel Radio
- Electric Speed Control
- Motor Pinion
- Lipo Battery
- Paint for Bodyshell
Schumacher Cougar KC Specifications:
- Power Source: Electric
- Model Type: Two-wheel drive, off-road
