Pro-Line's Ambush 4x4 and Indoor Obstacles [Video]

By: Tim Gluth

One of the reasons I have fallen in love with small-scale R/C vehicles is their versatility. When weather is perfect, nothing beats a drive around the yard or a local park. When Mother Nature has other plans for your day, you can always create your own indoor world of adventure.

Setting up indoor obstacles has been something I've enjoyed working on with my 1/10 scale machines, so it felt like a natural fit that I use those same obstacles (slightly modified) to test out the Pro-Line Ambush 4x4. After my outdoor excursion, I put the Pro-Line Ambush 4x4 up against a basic indoor "obstacle course". The main focus here was to see how much suspension travel this model has and to further test the 3-speed setting on the transmitter.

The Ambush 4x4 is proving to be a very capable vehicle for its size. The power that it brings can help it launch out of, and over, obstacles, and the grip that the tires provide has been exceptional.
