Getting a helping hand.

By: Tim Gluth

Here's a challenge I'm sure many involved with radio controlled vehicles, planes, and helis have often encountered: How to shoot photos or video of your R/C while also trying to drive it?  It's not as easy as it sounds...actually, it doesn't sound easy at all.  If you want to get some great shots of your vehicle in action (as opposed to having it pose on your driveway or on a shelf, you'll most-likely need another set of hands (and eyes) to get the job done.  This past Sunday, I was fortunate to have Scott Lasko provide an assist and shoot some amazing photos that I'll be using on the site and a few other places.  In the process, I also found a great, local park that's perfect for bashing and doing a few speed tests.  The park offers a variety of terrain types and room to run, so we were able to grab some great shots on asphalt, grass, and dirt.  Here are a few of my favorites:

If you're into another great hobby, photography, I encourage you to check out Scott's work.  He's also venturing into the R/C heli world, so I'm sure we'll have plenty to talk about in the near future.
